The Gateway Village General Improvement District is a
general improvement district organized pursuant to §§ 31-25-601 to -633,
of the Colorado Revised Statutes. The GID is a separate political entity
from the City and County of Denver. The purpose of the GID is to acquire,
construct, install and maintain the following public improvements: street
improvements, traffic and safety controls, drainage facilities, parks and
recreation and police/fire improvements. The GID is governed by the City
and County of Denver City Council, sitting as the Board of Directors of
the GID. Day-to-day activities of the GID are managed by the GID Advisory
Board consisting of City and County of Denver representatives and three
